The Rock Docs (“The Rock Docs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality, and security of your personal information and health information. This Privacy Policy describes how The Rock Docs collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards personal information that is not Protected Health Information.

This Privacy Policy applies to website visitors, marketing communications, and other non-clinical interactions. It does not replace or modify our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

Marketing communications are sent using contact information provided voluntarily and do not include or rely on Protected Health Information unless expressly authorized in writing. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time. Marketing communications may be delivered via email, SMS/text message, phone calls, or other permitted channels. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time as described below.
 

3. Text Messaging and Mobile Communications

Text messaging is not a secure method of communication. By opting in to receive SMS messages, you acknowledge and accept the risk that messages may not be encrypted and could be accessed by unauthorized parties. We limit SMS content to administrative and non-sensitive information whenever possible.

The RockDocs mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by The RockDocs (“The RockDocs”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.
 

By consenting to The RockDocs’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of The RockDocs through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., appointment updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers.

You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to receive care or make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase. Participation is voluntary.
 

We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We are not responsible for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of messages.

We respect your privacy. Information collected through the Service is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
 

4. Disclosure of Information

We may disclose your information in the following circumstances:
 

A. Healthcare Providers and Business Associates

We may share PHI with healthcare providers, insurance companies, billing services, electronic health record (EHR) providers, and other HIPAA-compliant business associates who assist us in providing care and operating our practice.

B. Legal and Regulatory Requirements

We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or governmental request.

C. Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, patient and personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to applicable privacy laws.

D. With Your Authorization

We will not use or disclose your PHI for purposes outside treatment, payment, or operations without your written authorization, except as otherwise permitted by law.
 

5. Patient Rights Under HIPAA

As a patient, you have the right to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of your medical records

  • Request corrections or amendments to your PHI

  • Request restrictions on certain uses or disclosures

  • Request confidential communications

  • Receive an accounting of disclosures

  • Receive a paper copy of this Privacy Policy
